Pay Attention to the Little Things.

The slow roll of smoke filling your mouth.

The smell of wood smoldering.

Your father playing duck, duck, goose with his grandchildren.

Cool afternoons where time drags in the most precious way.

Allowing

just for a little while

everything to be in it’s place.

Adventures in my backyard.

We have nestled into our house quite well.

Pumpkins adorn our porch and a fire pit roars in our back yard.

I get yummy chai’s and kitchen laugh sessions from my room mates.

It’s been liberating to come home finish two books this week and paint page after page.

Listening to albulms such as

Overgrown by: James Blake

Kveikur by: Sigur Ros

An Awesome Wave by: Alt-J

Of which I can’t seem to escape listening too…

Our house is cold from constant windows ajar.

But I like the fall wafting in.

Being bundled in sweaters with a hot cup of anything feels like home.

Congratulations to this beautiful couple!

May the newest bitty one bring even more joy and hopefully some peaceful night with him…
