Sea side feast

We had a decadent meal complete with red snapper stuffed with lemon and fresh seasoning,  two forms of wine in pink cut crystal and a pear tart topped with whip and a side of coffee!

Miles Davis created the perfect back drop to a lovely evening by the sea and around the bon fire.

“The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.” – Henry Miller

Opening

The days are turning colder. Jackets have made their way into daily life.  Leaves are skipping their usual pretty color changing and going straight into muddy browns.

The beauty of every season amazes me. But autumn has a special place in my heart and will be missed.  The one thing that can comfort an achy heart is the fact that foreplay for christmas can begin! Christmas music, feasts, wrapping paper. The magic will be full blown soon and I am ABSOLUTELY ok with this!

-The pictures of me were taken by a dear friend as I wandered through bushes and prickly thorns to capture berries and flowers. We walked and walked in the dreamy parts of ghent. Romanticizing the lives of those who inhabit those buildings. Marveling at the old architecture and incredible root system!

Paris is BURNING!

I read an enchanting article about Paris today.

It lit me with excitement. Although I have just recently snuggled up to this city, I began to ache for it! I was all of the sudden day dreaming about it as if i’d never known the city before? I began toying with thoughts like.

If I am most alive while traveling am I partially dead while idle?

It’s not true of course, but some truth still resonates in my spirit when I think of how badly my limbs ache to move through the world in exploration.

I will forever be writing about travel. I will forever day dream of it!
