It was a fever ray and dj shadow type of day.
The sort of day that made me long for summer nights that never end.
This is coming from the woman with which fall is her lover 
and ,summer is like a mother-in-law with whom I tolerate.
The breeze was glorious… The sunset even more glorious…

We went to Sea Shore State Park. The swamp covered in sugar. The water frozen over in varying grey’s.
The moss hanging like chandeliers above our wondering heads.

The small things make magic moments. Little kitchens dimly lit, full of laughter and flour. 
Nutmeg and cinnamon filling the air with memories of autumn days. 
The sweet deep happiness of wanting donuts for nearly a month and the wonderful reward of waiting and hand making…
