Our fun take on falafel: A deep fried ball of ground chickpea’s.

Or I should really say Timothy’s (chef) take on it!

Fa-Waffle:

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 finely chopped onion

1 garlic clove minced

15oz chickpeas drained

1 cup of loosely packed cilantro

1 cup of loosely packed parsley

1 cup quinoa cooked

1 tsp curry powder

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tbsp lemon juice

3/4 cup bread crumbs (we used gluten and yeast free bread) toast and grind

Add all ingredients in vita-mix maker and then mold into round balls that your will place into a greased waffle maker.

Harissa:

5 dried red chili peppers

3 garlic cloves miced

1/2 tsp salt

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp ground coriander

1 tsp ground caraway

1/2 tsp cumin

Grind all ingredients into a sauce for on top the fa-waffle’s!

Note: (The white sauce was Tzatziki sauce, neither of us cared for it so much. It’s in the picture but I won’t have a recipe for it.)
