Fa-Waffle with Harissa Sauce
Our fun take on falafel: A deep fried ball of ground chickpea’s.
Or I should really say Timothy’s (chef) take on it!
Fa-Waffle:
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 finely chopped onion
1 garlic clove minced
15oz chickpeas drained
1 cup of loosely packed cilantro
1 cup of loosely packed parsley
1 cup quinoa cooked
1 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup bread crumbs (we used gluten and yeast free bread) toast and grind
Add all ingredients in vita-mix maker and then mold into round balls that your will place into a greased waffle maker.
Harissa:
5 dried red chili peppers
3 garlic cloves miced
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground caraway
1/2 tsp cumin
Grind all ingredients into a sauce for on top the fa-waffle’s!
Note: (The white sauce was Tzatziki sauce, neither of us cared for it so much. It’s in the picture but I won’t have a recipe for it.)
Doily Garland
What to do with grandma’s collection of doily’s?
Recycle them into a whimsical birthday garland or it’s also perfect for a little girls nursery!
You just need twine and as many doily’s as you want.
As seen above its strung from the back of holes first and then following through the front (enough spaces that the doily is tight).
Make sure each time you string a doily it’s the same way. ;) I had to redo one.
Spicy Spoons
Spice up your kitchen or next dinner party with these brightly painted spoons!
What you will need:
-Tape
-Spoons
-Paint of your choice
I bought the package of spoons for one dollar at our local dollar store and then taped off where I wanted the paint to end and then just finger painted on each color!
Let dry for 10 minutes and then take off tape.
Now you have a fun spoon for each dish!
Tip: If you plan on using them multiple times I would put a clear lacquer on them so paint does not wash or chip off
Guess where WE are going?
My sister is coming with me to England and France!!!
I am beyond excited to share this journey with her. To be by her side as we realize dreams together!
