Beach Blues

A few film shots of the Holiday weekend.

The sea

I am most thankful for living by the sea this time of year.

When the heat is steadily rising to unbearable temperatures.

A quick dip in the sea is the exact antidote for my summer distaste.

Especially when little kiddos are running around with sandy bellies and sea shells in hand.

I’m not entirely sure who thought exploding sparkles are the best way to celebrate being a free country but it has seemed to work out well.

We all watch in wonder.

Still

Each sunset has been ethereal lately.

Majestic in every sense of the word.

Large grandiose clouds cover the horizon.

Humidity at bay tonight as we walk.

-I may have gotten overly excited about the character of a fork propping open this window.

These are the details I delight in.

The small touches of life that seem to sew everything together for me.

The Sea and The Pear

The walk to the sea smelt of honey suckle and salt.

The air is unusually crisp for the month of May.

I settle down on one of my aunts afghans with a little kettle of

coffee, a pear which I don’t eat and my new book “on the road” which I don’t read.

I spend the majority of the time photographing the atmosphere,

musing about the roaring twenties, Paris and how every generation wishes their moments

away by wanting to be alive in another era.

I have felt my soul grow living by the sea.
