This sky is a creamy ash color,
releasing bits of rain
nourishing the plants and dazzling on my skin.
Everything looks more pure in this light.
From the green of the leaves to the soft peach of the flower petals.
Taking a moment to pause and think about all that I have released and all that I want to continue shedding.
Allowing nature to guide me as I follow the seasons of my life into more abundance.
-We often wake up pale and creased and all the world has lost it’s color.
But what if we developed a special sight for gorgeous moments?
Little slow dimensions when our focus narrows and we can truly see all the savory goodness that lies before us!
(Today practice a focus shift. Try and find little treasures hidden in your day.)

Love is:
Love is the scar on your knee’s your mother kissed.
Love is the battered package you received in the mail the other day.
Love is the sound of the wind escaping through the small gap in your window.
Love is the orange glow the fire cast on your lovers skin.
Love is hands worn with time and the things they have made.
Love is your nieces’s tangled curly hair.
Love is building forts at midnight and laughing uncontrollably.
Love is reading green eggs and ham over and over and OVER.
Love is knowing when not to give up.
Love is eating dinner on an Italian patio listening to Frank Sinatra.
Love is dancing in the rain to “Home”.
Love is lemon drop colored leaves.
Love is the half smile you wear.

It was a quick beauty.
The shades of magenta the sky turned just before the sun silently fell asleep.
We were cold, but enchanted.
How could we not be?
Nature is and will always be what fills me to the depths of my soul.
I could never live in an iron city full of glass walls.
I must be among the meadows, the towering tree’s and the sea.

When I am surrounded by family I feel at home.
