Compassion of a child

The compassion of a child will snap you right out of your little world right into the present moment.

Sugar plumb (Scarlet) began to sob just now because ariel from the little mermaid was about to die. The evil sea witch looked as if she was about to win. My, my how this little girl moves my heart. She was worried for the prince, for the sea creatures and for poor little mermaid. She felt anguish over it! How beautiful it is isn’t it? How compassion is woven into our heart’s even at the ripe old age of two. How we need to forever tap into our “little us” and find all those emotions before we tainted them. Little sugar plumb teaches me to love from a pure heart all the time. She has the softest spirit just like her mommy and it is breath taking. She is a delight and I take notes from her all the time. It’s funny that i’m older and technically smarter but sometimes I really think we’d all be a lot better off if we just acted like children and stopped pushing each

other to grow up! They have a wisdom we have

 long forgotten.

Slices of Life (Sundays) 43 min early!

The great dismal swamp wasn’t that swampy in these parts but the little lizard we saw gave us at least a taste like we were in nature. I didn’t even get spider webs in my face because Stephan was so tall he stole them all!

Found a new photo back drop and a crazy cool chicken that I think was trying to wooh me!

Mocha-tini, That’s right! The coolest coffee shop in these parts made me a four shot something of loveliness! A little outing with the sis and her husband. P.s. I like separating words by the dash.

My favorite book right now. Vinnie seriously you have to stop being such a cool cat!

Pad-Thai birthday dinner with pretty little magic carrot flowers!

Your young voice

(Fancy us) We had some of the most lovely people in town for the 4th! We ate like true Italians let me tell you! With a spread of 3 different types of hamburgers just for starters. My aunts house is nestled on chicks beach and the private display of fireworks were spectacular. By private I mean you could see them for MILES since they were so high, long and loud you couldn’t have missed them! Hours of lazy beach time and watermelon rum juice made a pretty yummy day… I barely took photo’s because I’m oh so obsessed with taking video right now that I forgot to take tons of photo’s like usual. Oh yes and then I ate chickpea brownies after MORE chickpea brownies! But what else are a bunch of Italians supposed to do when they have a day of ehh?

Sunrise on the beach

Captivating has been my favorite word for a long time.

A person who is truly captivating is someone who is inviting, loving, gentle, fierce and someone who embodies love.

My sister is captivating! I know I get pretty sappy now and then. But truth is truth right? You can’t help and notice a woman like her. Those sea foam green eyes sparkling with laughter and comfort. You can’t help but see how she loves her lil babes and how she adores her hubby! And I can’t help but adore her!

So happy birthday my beautiful best friend and sister!

(Sunrise rise on the beach with a four layer sparkling cake is just the perfect way to spend a birthday isn’t it?)

Slices of Life (Sunday’s)

A cheery day with two pretty sweet friends. Trail blazing, coffee drinking and maybe a lil bit of singing!

The owner had a bit of swag with that lil polka dot cup…
My cousins are in town and we took the little ones to explore a nearby farm.

Ethan and I making sissy’s four layer blue and mint cake!

I bought some Olaf Hajek art in Portland. He is one of my very favorite artists. He has such a unique intelligent form of whimsy.

I booked my ticket to London and Paris!

This lil beauty and I were laughing and taking funny photo’s with pants on our head’s. That’s her fox I got her in Portland.

Last but not least at all. My yummy Stumptown coffee. I’m drinking it right now as I write this! Thank you Vinnie!
