This beauty has a way in front of my lens that just about no one else has occupied.

She is divine!

Let’s daydream together.

Lets visualize all that we really desire.

I mean REALLY desire.

Like the bonfires among boulders and woods,

drinking absinth and dancing to beats antique.

Like cherry blossoms in Japan and all the polaroids we would take.

Lets watch too much anime while eating soooo much popcorn.

Lets build farms and family’s.

-Lets sink into the fact that we know, that we know, that were pretty FUCKING awesome!

Lets really let our hearts grow REAL deep in our love for each other, our men and our fancy pants big girl lives.

Because:

“The eyes make it blossom; the heart matures it.” -Joseph Campbell

Lets SEE the world.

Lets SEE each other.

Lets SEE it all as it is DEVINE.

Formally Known…

I am remembering:

Remembering what it felt like living amongst the notorious Himalayan mountains.

Everything felt like fire.

From the incense to the gongs.

Everything was sun.

Everything was rising.

I felt within me all of this.

I remember sitting on the roof tops drinking in the shadow of the glorious mountains as Foti made music on his hand crafted didjeridoo.

The full moon covering the sky in a brightness that made our skin silver.

The fire roared and then settled into a constant slow crackle.

We told stories of our travels: Both the inner and outer sort.

India was hard for me.

A clash of all things that make my heart squirm.

Yet it was a birth for me too.

A refining.

“Snake and moon both die to the old, shed their shadow to be reborn.”

-Joseph Campbell

In these mountains I became a new woman.

I discovered much of my life’s soul work there.

(Although I did not know it yet.)

Much of what I knew up until this point was about to be shed, questioned, forsaken.

I would launch on a new quest that both excited me and scared me.

I am remembering this time in such a hallowed way.

It was a time of overcoming all that had overcome me.

The sweet taste of this place lingers in my mouth.

I want it again.

I long for the movement that happened there.

Small movements that gave way to the BIG cracking open of my soul.

Esbern Snare: A Violent Peace

The photograph on the inside of the cover was taken on a California shore near the Sutro Baths.

A place that was mythical to me.

A place that washed away the hardened edges of reality and left you feeling light.

Left you feeling the salty air deep,

deep,

deep into your lungs.

My muscles relaxed and although much came into focus in those soft moments.

I also felt as if I could see nothing at all.

Like an ethereal dream.

Thats what I feel when I listen to this music.

Closed eyes and transported.

Maybe I’m biased because I am so fucking proud of these guys.

Maybe it’s because I have seen them labor hours, or really years into its making.

Maybe it’s because they are amazing men.

Or maybe its just because I like the sort of music that is good and magic and technical.

In any case they have heart and it shows in each shade of music they create.

Sample some Esbern Snare.
